Job Description

AXA Group Operations is the internal IT provider of AXA Group. As part of AXA Group Operations, the Service Delivery Team provides all infrastructure services to local AXA entities in Asia and is developing new innovative services to support AXA business in Asia. For example, as part of AXA strategy toward Digital, AXA Group Operations is directly involved on Cloud and Big Data Projects.

The Service delivery organization is structured with:

  • A Shared Service center located in Kuala Lumpur and hosting all Regional expertise
  • A proximity team located in every country where AXA is operating and having a particular focus on supporting the local AXA entities

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, with good IT knowledge, project delivery & BAU experience, motivated by challenges and looking for developing his career in a dynamic organization.

The Senior Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for defining, organizing and managing multiple projects and/or programs required for supporting AXA business activity in Asia, and in particular to the AXA entities located in the country where here he’s based.

Moreover, this position has to play the role as a Service Delivery Manager, who will be acting as a bridge to business to ensure selected high priority aspects of our services are being effectively managed.

The ideal candidate would be responsible for the following:

Lead the project delivery

  • Structure the projects and prepare the projects charters and Commercial Proposals  
  • Responsible for the project delivery with support of relevant technical experts
  • Co-ordinate the operational activities of internal teams in our Shared Service centers
  • Manage the activities of our IT vendors involved in the projects
  • Manage project risks and issues, including the development of mitigation and contingency plans
  • Works with internal and entity resource managers to ensure the resources necessary to produce the project on time and within budget are allocated to the project

 Manage the Project Governance with all Stakeholders

  • Project Reporting to stakeholders, in line with policies in force
  • Client Reporting & Project Steerings with Business Unit Governance bodies
  • Management of Risk & Issues to Sponsor / Steering Committee for Mitigation

 Control Project budget & resources

  • Build, with support of relevant experts, Project Commercial Proposal
  • Monitor & control projects actuals, and update financial forecasts
  • Define Project resource plan to be shared and agreed with Technical teams

 Service Delivery Management – current areas of focus

  • Change Management – Provide assistance / guidance to the Change Management Team on change validation during Pre-CAB stage
  • BAU Activities – Overseeing all activities related to local entity and Asia Services
  • Project Activities – Overseeing all activities relating to local entity & Asia Services
  • Incident Management – Provide assistance / guidance to the Incident Management Team to drive for major incidents resolution
  • Others – Being the focal point of other escalated concerns from business entities

 The successful candidate should possess:

  • At least 8 years of successfully projects delivery track records
  • Proven experience in IT Infrastructure domains & BAU activities
  • Significant experience in an international context
  • Strong interest for IT and willing to work on complex & challenging projects
  • Sound knowledge and experience in IT best practices & standards, Service Management and Quality Management
  • University degree or post graduate degree level
  • Proficiency at managing effectively multiple, complex and time-sensitive deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills to work in an international context
  • High proficiency in both verbal and written English, another language is a plus
  • Experience in Agile methodology is a plus
  • Need to work after office hours, during weekends and public holidays, managing project implementation and changes
