With the objective to further enhance and reinforce the positive image of the organization, our client is seeking for an experienced high calibre corporate communications professional to head up one of the teams in the Corporate Affairs division.
This is an executive level position within the organization, reporting to the function head and leading a team (including editorial team). You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic corporate communications and media initiatives. You will be building a strong and positive relationship with media groups, KOLs and external stakeholders to drive positive news and mitigate potential reputational risks. Working with the line manager, you will be supporting the communications of senior management and C-suites executives. You will also be identifying sponsorship and partnership opportunities as well as pitching speaking opportunities and media interviews for senior management. Within a matrix organization, you will also be providing strategic communications advice and supporting internal departments. Your other responsibilities are but not limited to: oversee the production of publications like annual report; craft messages and speeches for senior management, manage corporate events and etc.
The ideal candidate should be a Bachelor Degree holder in Journalism, Communications or a related discipline, with at least 15 years of experience in a managerial position of corporate communications experience in large and matrix organization. You are expected to have solid media relations, stakeholder engagement and issues & crises management experience. You must have good judgement, political sense and sound knowledge of local current affairs. You are a strong change leader with influential skills and able to act as a role model building a strong collaborative and harmonious culture. Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills are required. Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory.
Note: Candidate with less experience can be considered for a Senior Manager position in the team.
