Merchandiser / Senior Merchandiser Position

Job Description

• Handle stationery, toys, Arts & Crafts products
• Carry out day-to-day duties, e.g. quotation, sampling and order follow-up
• Manage activities from sourcing, product development processes, PO maintenance to shipment
• Arrange sample submission to customers for approval
• Interact with lab and relating parties for testing arrangement.
• Liaise with vendors and negotiate with suppliers in PRC, VN or other South Asia countries.
• Negotiate price, contract terms and conditions with stakeholders
• Provides support for ad hoc assignments to management
• Work closely with other sections such as Quality Control and Shipping for updating the quality standard and shipment status.
• Monitor on the inventory level.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Management, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in global retail chain stores, sourcing/trading company, or buying offices.
• Knowledge of US retail market preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of handling general merchandise related products (e.g. Stationery, Toy, Art & Crafts) items sourcing and order coordination is an advantage
• Strong production and order follow up experience is a must.
  Good communication and negotiation skills and able to follow up orders closely until shipment completed.
• Responsible. Ability to handle stress and work under high work pressure.
• Multi-tasking. Attention to details and accuracy.
• Good command of Computer Knowledge (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint...etc).
• Good command of English and Chinese written, and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Ability to travel when required.
