A day in the life:

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations as part of a key member of the month end close process
• Liaise with accounting, treasury, tax, and systems teams in our Vancouver head office
• Prepare management accounts for local board meetings
• Coordinate requests and support in preparation of statutory audits
• Organize and maintain appropriate accounting books and records in Asian countries
• Support in the preparation of corporate and sales tax returns
• Provides administrative support to the finance team
• Handles other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time by the Finance Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance
• 1+ years experience in a similar role, experience with MNC or CPA firm is a plus
• Proficient in Oracles is an asset
• Good interpersonal & communication skills and highly professional style.
• You have strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
• Be proactive and comfortable working with both local and remote team members.
• Be able to develop and maintain a network of contacts, both inside and outside the organization, with people who can supply information, assistance and support for worked related goals
