Job Description
We are hiring for a leading life insurer who has shown incredible growth in the APAC region for consecutive quarters. With resources re-allocation and evolving business needs originated from various business and regulatory changes, there are two exciting vacancies in their finance control team where the jobholder could gain valuable experience working in a professional accounting team.
Background
The incumbent will be responsible for financial reporting for life business.
For Head Position
Job responsibilities
- Oversee the application of accounting policies and preparation of financial reports in compliance with new regulatory requirements
- Lead the statutory reporting function
- Support IFRS closing to implement controls accurately and timely
- Keep abreast of the newest regulatory changes development trends and regulatory assess the impact on the business
- Conduct performance analysis and prepare management reports
For Manager/ Assistant Manager Position
Job responsibilities
- Produce timely financial statements and reports under IFRS
- Manage statutory reporting function
- Work on accounting policies and procedures
- Corporate and discuss with other departments (e.g. actuarial) and external auditors to handle accounting treatments and issues
- Inspect financial reporting processes and suggest improvement in finance control
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree holder in Accounting or Finance
- CPA/ACCA or equivalent
- BIG FOUR auditors with financial service’s clients are welcome
- Strong understanding in IFRS reporting is an advantage
- 4+ years of relevant experience will be considered for Assistant Manager
- 6+ years of relevant experience will be considered for Manager
- 10+ years of relevant experience will be considered for Head
