Job Description

 The team

 As part of the regional team you will play an integral role in helping firms meet Trust and Growth ambitions, promoting consistency and collaboration, so that KPMG becomes the Clear Choice for clients and talent. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a cross-functional regional team, project manage regional strategic initiatives and build relationships with senior leaders across ASPAC.

 The role

 The Project manager will be responsible for the following:

- Develop metrics, measurable KPIs, project milestones and reporting
- Manage project to agreed timelines and budget
- Escalate key issues and risks in a timely manner
- Manage all key project documentation on the SharePoint site
- Stakeholder management for the ASPAC workstream owners
- Support the Office of the ASPAC Chairman and ASPAC COO team with all business management activities and reporting for management meetings/conferences

 The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Director of the Office of the ASPAC Chairman and also build strong working relationships with the ASPAC regional team and key stakeholders across the region

 Key Activities :

 1/ Project management for the Global collective strategy

- Develop metrics, measurable KPI’s , project milestones with the respective workstream owners and create reporting templates, tools & escalation process
- Drive execution and delivery of priorities against agreed timelines and project milestones with regular meetings and quarterly status reporting
- Establish and reinforce open and effective communication between all of the ASPAC project team and global workstream project managers
- Facilitate cross team discussion, issue resolution and collaboration
- Establish project cadence and governance framework within the global standards set by PMO team and workstreams
- Establish a stakeholder management approach which manages all stakeholder expectations and communications regarding strategy and associated change management

 2/ Business Management for the ASPAC Chairman and COO office

- Support with aligning the strategic and operational focus of the Regional ASPAC team to the Global strategy and agenda – ensuring alignment and consistency between global / regional / local
- Contribute to the effective business management, operating rhythm and activities of the ASPAC Chairman and COO Office. This includes preparation of presentation materials, drafting agendas and minutes and tracking actions for the Board and management meetings.
- Develop content, support event planning, and provide project management of the ASPAC Partner’s Conference every two years and support other priority regional conferences and events on an ad-hoc basis

 The Person:

 The successful candidate must be able to operate in a matrix organisation and have the ability to work collaboratively and influence the actions of the organisation’s most senior business leaders in the region. They need to have critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box and explore different ways of working to accelerate the trust and growth agenda. Strong and proven project management and reporting skills must be combined with resilience, cultural awareness and diplomacy to achieve stakeholder engagement.

Skills and Experience:

 - A project manager with over 8 years of experience working in strategy,business management or organisational change within a professional service orcorporate environment

- Previous experience of working in a Project Management team, implementing strategic initiatives or organizational change/transformation projects would be an advantage
- Excellent communication, presentation and project reporting skills. Able to develop metrics, analyse data, report KPIs and following up with people on a timely basis for status updates
- Motivated, pro-active and hard-working team player who is results driven, action oriented and outcomes focused
- Attention to detail, a fast learner and well organised. You’ll need to show initiative and be able to pick up and run with new projects quickly, take on responsibility outside the scope of your current skills and make things happen
- Ability to work under pressure, manage numerous projects simultaneously across multiple time zones and deliver within set timeframes
- Strong and proven relationship building skills, able to hold their own with senior leaders
- Cultural awareness and understanding is essential. Previous experience of working across functions and geographies will help you succeed
- Excellent English, with Chinese or other Asian language skills an advantage
- Able and available to travel internationally in the range of 20-50%
