We are looking for MLT-1 to lead the operation team and perform genetic testing such as DNA extraction, qPCR, high-throughput sequencing and report preparation. The individual(s) also ensures proper laboratory record maintenance is in effect, cases processed in a timely fashion, and contributes to general laboratory maintenance.

o   Job Duties:

• Implementation of quality policy
• Monitor standards of performance and continuous quality improvement
• Monitor work performed in the laboratory to ensure clinically relevant information is being generated
• Evaluate, develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols
• Investigate technical issues and perform corrective actions
• Evaluate, test, recommend and implement purchase of equipment & reagents
• Provide professional development programs for laboratory staff and opportunities to participate in scientific and other activities of professional laboratory organization o
• Other professional duties assigned by the senior management team

o   Who you are:

• You must hold a valid practicing license (Part I) issued by HK MLT Board
• Experience in implementation / working under ISO15189:2012 quality management system
• Experience in setting up medical diagnostic laboratory
• Experience in molecular diagnosis +-next-generation sequencing
• Track record in designing / implementation / execution of clinical grade high-throughput sequencing LDTs highly preferred
• Publication(s) in clinical genomics, high-throughput sequencing protocols and bioinformatics concept is preferred
