The School Nurse within our Lower Primary division manages the health office to ensure optimum health and safety of students by providing immediate medical care and accurate management of medication and information to maximize health and wellness in the school community. The role will include providing preventative care and wellness programs through education sessions and resource development for students, employees and parents.

Requirements:             

• Registered/Qualified Nurse with CPR/First Aid certification and certified CPR/First Aid Trainer or willingness to attain certification;
• Minimum 5 years of clinical work experience, preferably in schools or as a paediatric or emergency room nurse;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, staff, faculty and parents coupled with solid written and verbal English communication skills, Cantonese language skills desirable;
• Demonstrated organisational and crisis management skills, with the ability to multi-task and remain calm in high pressure situations;
• Solid health assessment skills with the ability to intervene appropriately in emergency circumstances and drive change in health programs to continually meet the needs of students and staff;
• Experience developing and/or facilitating training programs and health and wellness programs is desirable.
