Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Handle product enquires with designers and merchandising needs, following up sourcing, product development and production control;
  • Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and company’s objectives;
  • Perform strategic merchandising plan through various market research, analysis and forecasting to achieve company’s objective;
  • Analyse sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock;
  • Managing and communicating shipping dates, quantities, customer delivery status and ensuring all deadlines meet purchase order dates; 
  • Proactive in price negotiation and sourcing of suppliers to meet requirements, conduct cost analysis;
  • Track development and production samples and make sure they are received on time and at the right quality;
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Design, Garment Tech, QC, Logistics and Finance to support supplier performance targets;
  • Ensure factories have all required testing reports and inspections completed in good time and are approved prior to shipment;
  • Liaising daily with factories in China and overseas via email and telephone;
  • Assist in any ad-hoc tasks as assigned;

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Textile & Clothing Institute or related disciplines preferred;
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ merchandising experience (knit & woven) in garment/textile industry, factory experience preferable;
  • Sound knowledge in garment construction and technical solution;
  • Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices;
  • Familiar and experienced in US market in Ladies’ & Men's high fashion;
  • Highly organised and have experience handling a busy workload in a fast-paced demanding business;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and detail minded;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties; 
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin;
  • Strong computer skills such as MS Excel;
