Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Proposals Manager / Senior Proposals Manager to work with our dynamic global group, collaborating closely with our APAC and US Proposals team and key internal stakeholders.

This position will play a key role in the business development process by creating service proposals for George Clinical clients in response to Requests For Proposals (RFPs).

About the role

  • Take ownership of assigned RFPs through the proposal, re-bid, bid defence, and handover for implementation cycle
  • Review RFPs to determine the best approach for satisfying sponsor requirements and develop a strategy for successful and timely development of high quality proposals
  • Lead the proposals development process for all opportunities and the assigned team to ensure that the strategy, budget and proposal language matches the expectations of the client as identified through extensive interactions with these clients.
  • Support development of Request for Information (RFIs) where required, especially where these accompany an RFP
  • Assist with the development/update / improvements of templates, tools, standard operating procedures, work instructions, etc. for the Proposals team as needed
  • Assist with the initial development of a phased budget forecast where required
  • Support development of new processes for scoping, pricing and pitching studies to improve quality of proposals and efficiency of proposed solutions
  • Lead and manage allocated Proposals staff.

 

About you

  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience as a Proposals Writer, ideally in a regional/global team
  • Previous proposal writing experience in the professional services industry, with a background in CRO or Pharmaceuticals advantageous
  • A strong background in either creating or managing budgets
  • A proven background in team management with multi-regional experience preferred
  • Advanced level Excel skills
  • Project management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects and task
  • Excellent communication and networking skills with an ability to build mutually profitable business relationships
  • Strong problem solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments.
