Job Description

Global Banking and Markets Division – Global Markets

Hang Seng's Global Markets business provides superior service, fully integrated solutions and 24-hour global markets coverage. Our advanced technologies deliver quick access to key markets. Our capital strength allows us to tailor competitively-priced solutions for specific client business around the world. We provide a full spectrum of treasury services to our customers, including credit, equities, foreign exchange and interest rate products, as well as market intelligence on global trends and key developments.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our division as Head of Equities and Structuring.

Principal responsibilities

  • Leads and manages a team of structurer and trading professionals to maximize profit for the Bank
  • Drives the strategy in Equities business and capture new business opportunities
  • Leads the implementation of new Equities initiatives by coordinating front to back processes including pricing, modeling, risk management, finance, system development and settlements
  • Works closely with internal businesses / departments to roll out structured derivative products to bank customers with focus on equity, foreign exchange and rates derivative
  • Originates and structure new products to fit the Bank's risk appetite / priorities
  • Follows pricing and technical developments in relevant financial markets and can articulate a house (or alternative) view on these markets
  • Has a strong understanding of relevant market drivers and can apply these when assessing the economic value / trading principles behind certain structures and "trade ideas"
  • Overseas the overall risk position and operation of the Department to maximize profit and ensure efficiency
  • Provides training to internal staff

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in Equities and/or structured derivatives of FX and Rates Structuring and Trading
  • Good knowledge in treasury products (Equity, FX & Interest Rate Derivatives) with relevant dealing experience and quantitative skillset
  • Solid experience to develop hedging & wealth management products to corporate, retail and private banking segments
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
