Job Description

Responsibilities:

Assist Director, Project in managing and planning all capital/non-capital works projects for completion on time, within budget and to required quality. Details are listed below:

  • Manage the master planning and design development from inception to completion;
  • Co-ordinate on production of concept, schematic and detailed designs, tender/construction documents, and to manage the procurement and construction process;
  • Overall responsibility and ownership for project design, planning and execution including consultants’ performance;
  • Liaison with other divisions, consultants, government departments, utility companies, etc.;
  • Assist in all aspects of project management system from strategy formulation, development, project cost control, programme, and procurement to delivery;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Bachelor degree or above in Civil / Structural Engineering or related discipline. Higher qualification in construction project management is preferred;
  • Member of a recognized local professional institute in the discipline of building, civil / structural engineering, including MHKIE, MIStructE, etc. and Registered Structural Engineer (RSE) is required;
  • Minimum 15 years’ relevant working experience in project management of building and infrastructure development or in site co-ordination of building projects. Experience in developing and managing R&D offices, university/institutional buildings, hospital, laboratory, industrial building is preferred;
  • Experience in managing projects from inception to completion including handover;
  • Experience in procuring and managing consultants, contract administration of large scale projects, claim and EOT assessment as well as supervision of minor works contracts and term contracts;
  • Knowledge of statutory requirements and procedures for development projects in Hong Kong;
  • Conversant with graphics presentation tools and software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, Microsoft Project and project management / design related computer application will be an advantage;
  • Self-driven, independent, problem solving with good interpersonal skill;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
