Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervise and carry out the repair and maintenance work of all Army properties
  2. Provide professional advices on Electrical & Mechanical work and non-building services work so as to help end-users to make the best decision
  3. Prepare working drawings, tender documents including all necessary specifications of the works
  4. Evaluate the costs and quotations/tenders for the project, including the post-contract variation
  5. Ensure that the progress of the project is on schedule and evaluate whether the technological standards meet the Army’s needs
  6. Coordinate work schedules between the Contractors and the Army’s unit
  7. Liaise between the Architects and Engineers to meet the Army’s needs
  8. Being a member of the typhoon emergency team and available on call in case of emergency
  9. Perform any other legitimate duties assigned by supervisor and management

 

REQUIREMENTS

  1. An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
  2. Higher Diploma or Degree in Building Services Engineering or related disciplines
  3. Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade B) will be an advantage
  4. Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience of building maintenance, planning, scheduling for maintenance works, fitting-out works of E&M & non-building services issues for properties
  5. Hands-on experience in managing building improvement, site coordination and emergency repair works
  6. Experience in managing contractors will be an advantage
  7. Knowledge in building services regulations, building regulations and code of practices
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  10. Good command of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, etc.
  11. Able to work independently and under pressure
  12. Work overtime as and when required
  13. Immediate available is highly preferable
