Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Take part in research & development projects related to Smart Living and Smart Mobility
  • Implement feasibility study projects, consultancy projects and/or government funded projects
  • Assist in project management and administration, such as client relationship management, suppliers management, resource planning and project execution etc
  • Assist in providing design solution, preparing proposal, report and conducting robust presentation
  • Assist in deploying new technologies to projects and enhancing the professional competencies to support the team’s sustainable development
  • Monitor the work progress of subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and completion of projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from disciplines in Science or Engineering of Mechanical, Mechatronic, Automotive, Automation, Industrial, System, Product Design, Management or equivalent with relevant experience a plus
  • Solid experience in R&D and project management
  • Familiar with at least one of the following technical areas:
    • Technology commercialization and business development
    • Mechanical design, 3D modelling and finite element analysis
    • Power tools, machinery, Instruments or automotive parts product development
    • Pneumatic control and robotics system development
    • New material research and application
    • Development software (Solidworks, Unity, Vuforia etc…)
  • Experience in liaise with government bodies, NGOs, research institutes, industry associations or professional bodies a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong client-driven mind-set, comfortable with people interaction
  • Positive thinking, proactive, fast-learner and innovative
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua

A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
