- Collaboratively create (with marketing management and local sales management) and execute marketing strategies for the APAC region
- Lead and contribute to success of internal and external events
- Oversee in-language content creation, including original materials and localized/adapted content in print and digital formats.
- Maximize company presence in popular social and digital platforms within each APAC market
- Be resourceful – as TransPerfect is in growth mode in APAC, the need for the ideal candidate to be able to problem solve and succeed on his/her own is critical
- Serve as local face of the global marketing department for all APAC offices
- Supervise events on-site, making sure they run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. Our events are local, regional, national, and international, so you’ll get to travel and experience new places regularly.
- Build strong relationships with various in-country stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that all event objectives and deliverables are met.
Requirements:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree or its equivalent in marketing or related field.
- Creative vision—do you approach marketing challenges with a thoughtful, clever problem-solving style?
- Independent worker – while this position will be around many important people in APAC, the majority of other marketing staff are located outside the region. Can you succeed with this decentralized organizational structure?
- Capable leader and follower—some projects you will lead, others you will be part of a team. You will need to play both roles well.
- Organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, with tight deadlines, and in high-stress situations.
- Commitment to timelines, processes, and structure.
- Confident and professional with great social skills—you’ll need to work effectively with people both inside and outside of the organization ranging from interns to C-level employees.
- Customer focused (internal and external client service is paramount).
- Be proactive, use initiative, and go the extra mile. Demonstrate an excellence reflex in everything you do.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 2–4 years of proven marketing experience
- Native-level fluency in English
- 15-20% travel required.
Other Desirable Skills:
- Secondary language skills preferred
- Basic design capabilities (PowerPoint, Canva, etc.).
- Brand management/development experience.
