Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:


Reporting to Director, you will play a key and hands-on role in demand planning by use a range of forecasting tools to ensure accurate Sales & Operational Planning and effective inventory management. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating a company-wide forecast that aligns with the revenue goals of the organisation, the forecast being created will better position the company to support the needs of the business. You will create both standardised and custom reports, conduct quantitative product and sales analysis, and present conclusions and recommendations to management. You are to develop methodologies and business processes aimed at improving cross-functional communication and operational efficiencies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and execute ongoing engagement with internal teams as well as brand / customer contacts to obtain forecast data for revenue and demand planning.
  • Use Lean methodologies to improve and create new tools to manage and validate demand information.
  • Review and fine tune the forecast planning process to improve forecast accuracy
  • Review and fine tune the replenishment process to improve OOS % and minimize any over stocking situation against company objective. Such as communication with Purchasing Team for POs review
  • Review the inventory status, communicate with CMs for any abnormal situation
  • Review upcoming marketing and commercial information with sale and marketing team to assure the coming inventory level will support any expected sale activities
  • Review the weekly and monthly promotion impact, communicate with CMs for any further information and take action in term of replenishment perspective if necessary
  • Plus other potential continuous improvement across supply chain
  • Generate periodic demand plans and drive collaboration with key stakeholders by focusing on inputs for New Products, Product Transitions, and Sales Opportunities (Pipeline).
  • Identify potential opportunities and risks against inventory position and develop actionable recommendations for execution.
  • Generate the annual sales budget with quarterly forecast updates, including sales to budget variance analysis.
  • Analyse and interpret market, brand, formula and item level trends (volume, price, margin and turns) within respective markets.
  • Assist the Demand Planning function as an integral part of the company sales, inventory, operations and planning processes.
  • Generate ad hoc reporting for sales, marketing, pricing, business planning, and product management.
  • Analysing sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate demand and/or other product needs for both online and offline sales channels
  • Experience in merchandising will be considered and advantage, in particular planning and developing merchandising strategies, including full merchandising duties from development to fulfilment, vendor management and quality control.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or Finance is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-7 years’ experience with demand/inventory/supply planning, forecast or other related field. Less experienced will be considered to a more junior position.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Track record in on site production planning and control, manufacturing operation or inventory management including worldwide merchandising and/or OEM/ODMs will be taken as the priority
  • Excellent in communicating with top management based upon the strategic thinking capability but also show the ability to deal with hands-on issue with internal and external suppliers/ OEMs
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills
  • Good organizational skill and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive, independent & cooperative in a diverse group.
  • Excellent communication skills in listening/written/spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, knowledge in CRM, ERP and forecasting systems will be an advantage.
  • Advantage if experienced in pet industry
  • Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded
