Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller - Asia, this role will be responsible for the overall Accounting and Administrative activities of the company. The successful candidate will be accountable for organising and managing the day to day operations of the accounting team to ensure proficiency, accuracy and transparency. The successful candidate will have a strong change management focus with Best Practice at the core of all initiatives.

Some of what you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring that the Company’s international accounting policies and procedures are being complied with
  • Maintain internal control environment
  • Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled to supporting details every month.
  • Provide monthly reports for Hong Kong with analysis and commentary to the Asia Pacific Management
  • Liaising with Ernst & Young, the Company’s external auditors in the preparation and filing of the countries’ annual income tax returns and completion of the year-end financial audits and statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring that all required statutory and tax filings for Hong Kong are made in a timely manner.
  • Completion of the annual budget for Hong Kong
  • Ensuring optimal cash flow situation in Hong Kong
  • Resolving all intercompany disputes and outstanding balances and ensuring that quarterly intercompany conformations are performed on a timely basis.
  • Ensuring that Tax reporting as required by Corporate is completed timely
  • Reduce investments in A/R and Work-In-Progress, pay off outstanding debt, and generate tax effective cash flow to the parent company.
  • Providing timely replies to inquiries made from the Atlanta Head Office.

Whom we’re looking for:

  • Intimate understanding of all aspects of financial management
  • Sound interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Be the Business Partner and bridge between Finance and Operations
  • Continuous process improvement mindset
  • Adept at best practices for control environment optimization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Being multilingual is a benefit, but an absolute requirement of English is a must
  • Sound Treasury management skills
  • Recognised accounting qualification and extensive working experience in a Multinational Organisation
  • Practical experience of direct and indirect tax is needed
