Key Responsibilities:

• advising, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts being the lead negotiator on complex negotiations;
• when necessary, advising and handling litigation matters including actively managing external lawyers, undertaking investigations internally and if necessary negotiating settlements;
• advising the business on various regulatory matters and responding to regulatory inquiries;
• providing legal advice on employment matters;
• Developing, updating and maintaining various boilerplates/standard contracts;
• Working with external legal parties on legal initiatives and projects;
• Advise on financial services related issues.
• providing accurate and timely legal guidance to the company on all matters that affect the company

Requirements:

• Solicitor (Hong Kong qualified) in financial services in either a law firm or in-house legal position.USA law experience would be beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues in a simple and commercial manner.
• pro-active and the ability to think outside the box in order to provide solutions.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, and work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take responsibility / ownership of projects and tasks.
