Responsibilities

• Lead the industrial design team to produce quality designs which match with Furrion’s image
• Design product based on marketing brief / management requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive market research and competitor’s analysis.
• Explore market opportunities through working with marketing, product management and engineering teams to visualize design opportunities
• Communicate with project teams to refine product design and optimize solutions.
• Fluidly move from strategy and design direction to hands-on, ‘in the tools’ development.
• Collaborate with Product managers, graphic designers, 3D designers, and engineering
• Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned by Line Manager
• Demonstrated exceptional leadership, motivation and the ability to provide constructive feedback and direction to both internal ID team and external team members.
• Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies, by synthesizing input from management, sales, engineering and development partners to design and refine products from concept to mass production.
• Assume ownership of projects, working without close supervision, while balancing multiple concurrent projects.
• In cooperation with product managers, identify, define and articulate consumer targets for new product development
• Facilitate project communication across a multidisciplinary team through all phases of projects.
• Prepare project development documents through demonstrated mastery of 2D and 3D tools (Solidworks, Rhino, ProE, Keyshot, Adobe CS, etc.) to create 2D sketches, 3D drawings/ models and documentations.
• Persuasively and assertively sell ideas and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders via excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills and solid rationale.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Industrial Design or related disciplines
• 6 years’ experience in industrial design
• Passion in new product design
• Very good at conceptualizing, visualizing and delivering creative design solutions
• Fluent proficiency in ProE, Solidworks, and KeyShot,
• Very Creative, self-motivated and independent with a good sense of Industrial design.
• Excellent communication, organization, planning skills
• Immediate availability
