Responsibilities:

• Assist Senior Packaging Technologist on implementing all aspects of the department strategy to deliver all KPIs including streamline packaging requirement and sustainability targets
• Monitor packaging development and artwork progress projects to ensure key packaging critical dates are met

• Review cutter guide to ensure “fit for purpose” packaging construction has been submitted for artwork process
• Liaise with 3^rd party agencies ensuring approved artwork are delivered on a timely basis
• Support merchandising team on packaging process within overall order management processes; maintain accurate critical path trackers, monitoring artwork delivery and flagging potential risk on a timely manner
• Assist in the sealing and approval process from a packaging perspective with accurate record keeping
• Provide feedback on suppliers’ queries and ensure suppliers fully aware Sainsbury’s Argos packaging and Artwork Requirements
• Establish strong communication with UK & Asia colleagues and suppliers via weekly progress meetings, e-mails, SKYPE and trips, etc.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with cross functional colleagues in Asia, UK colleagues and suppliers to provide a  clear visibility of order status
• Have a clear understanding of our operating procedures and be familiar with all necessary systems and our ways-of-working
• Understand our business vision and goal and play a positive role in making Sainsbury’s Asia a great place to work

Requirements:

•  Knowledge on various type of printing processes (litho, offset), paper specifications (gsm), and coating method (varnish, lamination)
• Assess 2D cutter guides in relation to the actual box construction
• Project Management and critical path management
• Good English and Chinese written communication skulls with fluent spoken English and Mandarin
• Knowledge on cutter guide design and drawing (preferred but not a must)
