Job Description

We are looking for a pastry chef to take a leading role in both business operation and concept development. You will report to the company’s co-founder and Pastry Chef. 

Responsibilities will include the following.

As part of the business operation:

  • Preparation and production of cakes for individual orders
  • Preparation and production of cakes for events and retail pop-ups
  • Ensure the proper handling, cleanliness and maintenance of work area, equipment, and cold storage areas
  • Assistance in outside catering event and retail pop-up operation

As part of the concept development:

  • Preparation and production for testing session
  • Participate in the definition of new cake recipes
  • Sourcing of new products, accessories and ingredients
  • Suggest new operational processes, document new recipes

Requirements

  • Willingness to work for an innovative concept and to operate in a “start-up mode”
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a Western kitchen
  • Good spoken, written and reading ability in English
  • Strong capability in high-end pastry concept
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Forward-thinker and problem solver
  • Willing to go the extra mile and has a real passion in hospitality / F&B industries
