- Divisional Merchandise Manager is responsible and accountable for monitoring the entire merchandising pipeline from product development, costing, order placement and production follow up for the division.
- She/he is responsible for finding and developing new vendors to support our business strategy and growth.
Responsibilities
Manages teams. Development, Costing, and Production.
- Ensures fabric and product development processes occurs in a timely manner. Facilitates and encourages product development with riskless quality, competitive costing and practical bulk production.
- Drive costing team with analytics and cost comparison to negotiate with vendors
- Plan production and monitor production team utilizing TNA to ensure on time delivery of quality product.
- Manage vendor loading and capacity. Assess supplier performance to assist in current production and better plan for future.
- Manage vendor relationships and new vendor on-boarding.
- Facilitate major issue settlement between the office and suppliers
- Act with charismatic leadership in coordination with teams. Trains, Teach, Coach.
- Execute continuous improvement in process.
Play a key role in the company by
- Developing trustful relationship and establishing mutual respect with counterparts in the head office
- Learn by sharing with and supporting other overseas branch offices
- Work and collaborate closely with other divisions to embody the spirit of “one office and one company”
Qualifications/Requirements
- Merchandising knowledge – experience leading and planning in sample development/production follow up, will MNC working experiences is a benefit
- Planning and Execution – experience in planning, prioritizing and adapting to change while maintaining results for multiple projects
- Results Driven Problem Solver – views problem from multiple angles and provides viable, innovative options for resolution
- Talent Builder – experience in leading teams and developing talent
- Excellent Communicator – proven capability communicating and effectively adapting to the audience needs
- University Graduate/Higher Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Business or relevant discipline
- At least 15 years relevant garment/textile experiences
- Good supervisory experiences
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Familiar with US market is an advantage
