Job Responsibilities:

• Manage in the daily operation and supervision of laboratory activities, equipment and personnel
• Sign for laboratory reports
• Proficiency testing coordinator and reviewer
• Review daily OC, test QC results, validation reports
• Monitor sent out referral laboratory testings
• Review and revise SOP
• Vendors qualification and procurement of critical material and service
• Cost management: budgetary/ capacity planning
• Explain laboratory report to clients when necessary
• Work closely with Lab Director, QA dept. and lead the team
• Undertake any duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Part I registration of Medical Laboratory Technologist issued by the HKMLT Board
• Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biological Science or Life Science related disciplines
• At least 5 years of medical laboratory experience, in which 2 year of laboratory training or experience or both in high complexity testing (e.g. Flow cytometry testing)
• With Laboratory management/ supervisory experience
• Experience in processing of cord blood or performing laboratory testing or in phlebotomy would be an advantage
• Experience in quality assurance (AABB, FACT, CAP, HOKLAS) would be an advantage
• Strong sense of teamwork and responsibility, work independently and under pressure
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Must be Hepatitis B immunized.
