Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities :
- To achieve department goal and review the development production tracking recaps to ensure proper and on time execution.
- Conduct constant market research i.e. new fabrics, leathers, materials, products, color/style, trends, general market conditions, competitors’ trends and developments for the department.
- Oversee the fulfilling of sample requests (counter, approval samples, photo samples, Pre-production samples etc.); and the approval of colors and samples to ensure timely and efficient production.
- Review product development packages, sample execution and provide support to sources on sample development and corrections.
- Price negotiation and delivery dates to the buyers.
- Act as liaison between associates and support services to ensure that the merchandising duties are carried out on time and up-to-standard.
- Coordinate efforts with all areas of quality assurance.
- Vendor management
- Source new production resources;
- Manage the merchandise team to ensure that there is compliance with job responsibilities and divisional objectives; ensure the company process is followed and well executed; provide feedback to senior management on overall running of the team.
Job Requirement :
- Diploma holder or equivalent
- 10 years working experience in shoes merchandising field with 3 years at managerial level, preferably in buying office or sizable trading company
- Strong business acumen, footwear product knowledge and familiar to USA market
- Sensitive to market trend and give advice to Head Office
- Tactful management, problem solving, people development and leadership skills
- Strong negotiation, presentation and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent command in both written and verbal English and Mandarin
