Responsibilities:

• Give advice to departments on various legal/regulatory issues and discuss with legal and compliance department on new issues and new products approval.
• Give legal advice and provide support for enhancing the corporate governance and  control framework so as to meet all regulatory and statutory obligations.
• Provide professional support for the drafting of legal documents,  and handle registrations of funds locally and in other Asia Pacific jurisdictions.
• Review, draft and negotiate  agreements to safeguard the interest of the company and ensure the efficient operations of the company..
• Advise the Boards of Directors of the investment and management companies on strategic issues from legal and compliance perspective. 

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer in Hong Kong
• Minimum PQE + 6 years of experience in legal and compliance field, preferrably with exposure to financial services industry 
• Experience in advising various aspects of Funds and other regulatory matters, including liaising with SFC, MPFA and HKEX 
• Detailed-oriented, with excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• High proficiency in both written and spoken English & Chinese; fluency in Putonghua
