DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As instructed by Head of Financial Institutions Group Asia Pacific Region (Head of FIG APR), perform Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) coverage functions for FIG clients in Singapore, India, Australia and HK and help to coordinate the bank’s approach towards these clients as well as assist Senior Bankers in performing Global Account Manager (GAM) duties for APR FI’s and/or Local Account Manager (LAM) duties for Non-APR FI’s operating in HK as and when required; main responsibilities in this function are:

• 
  maintain/establish a close link between the client (with key contacts on the client's working level) and FIG APR as well as relevant Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) product units in close cooperation with the Senior Banker (SB)
• 
  assist the SB in developing and implementing client strategies in order to meet internal key performance indicators by analysing and identifying client needs/cross-selling opportunities, with special focus on Markets, Global Transaction Banking, and Financing & Advisory products
• 
  assist in coordinating the approach of various product units to secure ‘one face to the client’-principle
• 
  constantly maintain and update solid first-hand industry/sector and client know-how through regular personal meetings/exchanges with clients, analysts, and other market players as well as personal studies
• 
  preparation of business proposal/credit proposals when required with respect to the client portfolio under management
• 
  preparation of senior mangaement briefing (SMB) when requested in connection with senior management visits
• 
  ensure full compliance with internal guidelines/corporate governance as well as external regulatory requirements
• 
  support Head of FIG APR in ad hoc projects

JOB SPECIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in BA, Finance, or comparable field
• Minimum 10 years experience in corporate or investment banking, preferrably familiar with FI sector
• Established track record of business & personal relationships with financial institutions in Hong Kong
• Strong credit/analytical skills
• Fluent in speaking & writing in English and fluent in Mandarin/Cantonese
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
