This role is for a Middle Weight 3D Designer but more Senior candidates will be considered for a Senior 3D Designers role. You will work within our growing award winning interdisciplinary design studio, creating innovative narrative led experiences.

Working as part of our design team with other 3D, 2D Designers you will work on the concept, design and development of highly experiential 3D environments. You will work closely with the Head of Creative in HK and on occasion collaborate with the Creative team in the London office on projects in Hong Kong and Asia regions. You are ‘T–Shaped’, meaning that while you will have a specialism (Exhibition and/or Interior design) at which you excel, your role will also include being asked to think and work across all design disciplines to assist in the production of physical and digital experiences. The person must be able to work with direction from more senior creative personnel within the studio, with strong listening skills and the ability to interact at a variety of stages of the creative process, from ideation, production, to implementation.

-Is able to create very accurate plans, with a good grounding in the principles of line-weights, hatches, and typical protocols,

following MET studio drawing standards.

-Has experience of producing Concept, Schematic and Detail Design plan sets.

-Can produce high quality realistic 3D renders of spaces.

-Experience working with different sub-contractors on design fit-outs integrating audio visual elements and technology.

-Is pro-active in solving problems.

-Is self-motivated, looking to constantly improve and learn new skills and knowledge base, including, but not exclusive to

software, sketching, and new technologies etc.

-Is well read and has a curious mind, showing a broad understanding of not just their own professional niche, the wider fields of art, design, culture etc.

-Is provocative, willing to challenge others with their own ideas.

-Is willing to engage in internal discussions.

-Is able to demonstrate flexibility in working on both Pc and Mac platforms.

-Is comfortable taking direction but also willing to take the lead of elements when requested.

-Is ambitious and expects high standards of themselves and those around them.

-Can articulate their thoughts clearly and succinctly through hand drawings and is able to write coherent copy.

-Speaks English and Mandarin, Cantonese a bonus..

Training:

-A degree in Exhibition, Interior Design, Architecture or Product Design

-3-8 years experience working on Exhibition Design, but also Interiors, Brand experience, Events and Architecture will be

Software skills:

-Proficiency in 2D CAD Package required, Auto-cad preferred

-Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering software, Rhino and V-ray [Willing to experiment in other 3D Softwares.]

-Proficiency in Adobe CS [Bonus points if you can use After Effects]

-Proficiency in Power-point and keynote

-Proficiency in MS office [Excel and Word] Bonus points for MS project.

Terms:

-This is initially on a six-month contract term that we will look to extend based on performance and continued project growth.

-Salary dependent on experience.
