Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for facilitating and coordinating inventory flow and communication between Production, Customer Service, and Distribution in order to support order allocation and distribution processing and capacities

 

Responsibilities:

  • Report to Retail Planning and Allocation Lead
  • Support the Team Lead in developing top-down merchandise financial plan, by-door plan, stock allocation, sales performance analysis
  • Prepare Open-to-Buy and monitor the rolling inventory status
  • Consistently monitor the business and identify actions to achieve the key performance metrics
  • Recommend and review markdown and promotion opportunities
  • Recommend action plan with the objective of maximizing sales potential and sell through
  • Evaluate stock level and sell through by location, recommend and execute stock allocation / stock rebalance / replenishment / transfers
  • Develop the seasonal allocation plan that aligns to the buy and flow strategies provided by Retail Buyer
  • Execute the initial allocation plan – allocating product to the retail stores
  • Monitor store stock levels and sales trends
  • Manage auto-replenishments settings in the SAP system
  • Work with Operations Planning & Forecasting on inventory status issues (overstocks, late deliveries, and short shipments)
  • Trouble shoot and resolve allocation issues in a timely manner
  • Understand the key connectivity and interactions required for all business process steps
  • Participate in store visits (internal) and competitor market visits (external) to understand retail trends and consumer needs
  • Assist in Ad-hoc project for business review and analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • With 3-5 years of relevant experience in Merchandise Planning / Allocation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Advanced skills in numerical and quantitative analysis, ability to analyze a high amount of data
  • Able to manage deadlines in a fast-growing and dynamic environment
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Knowledge in building and managing analysis in Power BI and/or Tableau is surely a competitive advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin
