Job Description

Job Objective

To manage team and provide best in class Trim for region including R&D support along with handling any special projects as needed. Responsible for planning, execution and communication of development strategy, securing capacity, assuring Trim is compliant with Ralph Lauren Compliance standards with respect to approvals, policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, execution and communication of a development strategy that meets and exceeds financial goals.
  • Keep abreast of industry changes, market intelligence, fashion trends, new resources and opportunities.
  • Locate and develop new resources of trims that enhance product performance and minimize cost and lead-time.
  • Drive effective and efficient communication internal and with external suppliers to hand-off development.
  • Contribute in new technique development with vendors that meet design requirements and source new vendors to associate with geographic changes of garment manufacturers.
  • Introduce innovation with consideration of cost parameters, new ideas and techniques to the design table each season.
  • Work proactively, identify or anticipate any high-risk areas which may have impact on production and future business.
  • Understand, analyze and monitor fit changes impact on cost, delivery and liability and allocate right to balance change in demand against capacity and effect on delivery.
  • Work closely with US production team on projection change management, evaluate and lead methodology to meet the change.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders among different function teams to streamline work flow process; create and update SOP in order to achieve corporate goals and business demand.
  • Ensure product quality meets the defined quality standard, ensure trims are approved on time for production and communicate any delivery delays for management approvals.
  • Take initiative, lead and support project, communicate status to sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Establish good relationships with major vendors and business associates around the globe.
  • Communicate clearly on objectives and direction to the team; coach the team to maintain process efficiencies and meet business goals and requirement.

Requirements

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in Trims, minimum 3 years managing people.
  • Excellent verbal and written in English and Mandarin.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong problem solving ability.
  • Customer oriented, result-driven, teamwork.
  • Strong PC skill, specifically in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
