Job Description

Working closely with the UK development team you will understand the UK teams product requirements and help to drive product development from product concept to commercialization.

Identify a pipeline of commercially valuable new products. Identification of potential opportunities will come from attending both local and overseas trade shows, regular factory travel and other means in order to expand our product and supply base.

Independently source, research and evaluate alternative suppliers in terms of product development, product quality, production efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Negotiate with Suppliers for best pricing, terms and conditions and lead times, especially for new products, components and materials.

Prepare product quotations, report on development costs and create NPD updates for presentation to management and UK team.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in relevant product categories, preferably in buying office enviroment 

Good product knowledge in consumer goods a definite advantage.

Commercial awareness with excellent analytical skills and a proven ability to negotiate.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential in order to act as a liaison between buyers and factories.

Proven ability to work independently with overseas buyers.

Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication skills both in English and Mandarin.

Travel is required.
