Key Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for assisting Senior Merchandiser and Assistant Merchandise Manager and co-ordinate among product developers, vendors and VF. Follow up and ensure development is delivered on schedule and up to required standard.

Key Area of Responsibility

• Follow up & update proto samples status with headquarter/brand counterparts
• Ensure costs are provided timely from vendor and costing breakdown sheets are correctly filled
• Review all tech packs and samples to highlight potential discrepancies
• Negotiation of production lead-time and minimum order quantity along with capacity booking
• Placement of salesman samples orders to vendors and monitoring of delivery status, to ensure on-time delivery
• Work with technical team on feasibility of samples comments prior to send comments to vendor
• Work with Global Material Supply team on any fabric/trim development issue and on fabric booking for proto and salesman samples
• Follow up on prototype ready date and chase for approval comments from brand, coordinate with Product Stewardship team for lab testing on materials, mock up’s and finished garment
• Occasionally join product development or salesman samples inspection trips to factory
• Coordinate with costing analyst for costing sheet upload in the system within deadline
• Ensure brand standards and samples details and fitting are followed by the vendors
• Ensure product cost meets brand expectation and highlight timely cases where product requirements exceed target cost
• Follow up with vendors proto and salesman sample ready date and ensure correct execution as well as on time delivery.
• Work with production team to handover styles after salesman samples delivery
• Participate to product line review meetings with Product Stewardship team, Quality Engineering team and with Bulk Production team

Major Requirements

• Polytechnic / IVE graduate in Merchandising / Clothing / Textiles or related disciplines
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong technical knowledge in outerwear products
• Detail-minded with good communication skill
• Strong problem solving, negotiation, planning and organization skills
• Strong in Excel (particularly in Pivot table and V-LOOK UP)
• Excellent Chinese / English written and Verbal communication
