Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Direct development and implementation of research projects with understanding on users’ objectives
  • Design the most cost-effective research methodology and fieldwork procedures
  • Identify suitable research agency and apply stringent quality control to ensure the objectives are met, high quality results and findings are delivered to users
  • Establish and implement quality assurance system/program so that targets are set for the team to design appropriate checking steps and processes to ensure all projects are in compliance with policy and procedure guidelines
  • Conduct analysis to produce key findings and develop insights from the results and operational data of research projects to enhance research deliverables and support the business decisions
  • Drive the development of the new business intelligence tool for further analysis
  • Negotiate and manage different service suppliers and vendors to ensure delivery of high quality outputs and maximize the benefits of the HKTB
  • Review, evaluate the design of different research projects and explore new methodologies that could be adopted in order to meet the changing consumers’ behaviours and ensure relevant and reliable statistics are captured for analysis and sound decisions to be made

 

Requirements

  • University degree holder preferably in Quantitative Analysis/Statistics/Business Administration/ Social Science/Business Analytics
  • At least 10 years practical experience in marketing research/data mining/data warehouse and quantitative analysis
  • Strong PC skills, especially in MS Office and statistical software e.g. SAS and SPSS
  • Strong analytical, detail-minded and strong communications skills
  • Strong people and project management skill with knowledge including research and questionnaire design, fieldwork operation and quality assurance
  • Knowledge/experience in tourism industry will be an advantage
  • Meticulous, proactive, well organized and has ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
