The role

The Project Manager for Solutions Initiatives will be responsible for managing the overall planning and execution of a strategy to accelerate the roll-out & sales enablement for priority global digital transformation solutions in ASPAC, putting in place a structured program management and progress reporting process.

- Develop metrics, measurable KPIs, program milestones and reporting
- Manage initiatives to agreed timelines and budget
- Escalate key issues and risks in a timely manner
- Stakeholder management for the ASPAC workstream owners
- Support the ASPAC Chief Solutions Officer and broader KPMG Leadership with all Solutions-related business management activities and reporting for management meetings/conferences

The initial focus solutions are: ‘Connected Enterprise’, KPMG’s customer-centric, sector based, enterprise-wide approach to digital transformation, and ‘Powered Enterprise’, KPMG’s approach to digitally-enabled functional transformation, which leverages leading cloud-based SaaS applications. Together these enable our clients to become agile and engineered for profitable growth, while driving deep customer- centricity.

The successful candidate will report to the ASPAC Chief Solutions Officer, with a dotted reporting line to the ASPAC Advisory COO. He/she will work closely with the ASPAC Solutions and Alliances teams and also build strong working relationships with the broader ASPAC regional team and key stakeholders (eg. national solutions leads, key technology enablement partners and professionals, clients & markets teams, and learning leaders) across the region.

The team

As part of the ASPAC regional team you will play an integral role in helping countries meet Trust and Growth ambitions, promoting consistency and collaboration, so that KPMG becomes the Clear Choice for clients and talent. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with regional and national leaders and drive the execution of one of KPMG’s key collective strategic priorities in ASPAC.

Key Activities

1) Program management for Priority Solutions deployment acceleration

  - Develop metrics, measurable KPIs, program milestones and reporting process
  - Drive execution and delivery of priorities against agreed timelines and program milestones with regular meetings and status reporting
  - Drive alignment between ASPAC Solutions and Alliances strategies and effective engagement between the respective teams
  - Establish and reinforce open and effective communication between the ASPAC Solutions team, the broader ASPAC team and key regional/national leaders
  - Drive effective engagement with and leverage of the Global Delivery Network
  - Facilitate cross team collaboration and issue resolution
  - Establish a stakeholder management approach which manages all stakeholder expectations and communications regarding strategy, associated change management, and ongoing successes/wins

2) Business support for the ASPAC Chief Solutions Officer and broader regional Management Consulting service group

  - Support the ASPAC Chief Solutions Officer in the execution of the regional Solutions strategy and engagement with the ASPAC countries – initial focus areas: Powered & Connected Enterprise, Global Delivery Network, end-to- end solution development
  - Coordinate and support regional leadership meetings re. Solutions
  - Coordinate and support regional MC leadership meetings, helping support and drive the broader MC strategic agenda in ASPAC
  - Surface examples of key initiatives, wins, awards, etc. for broader communication across ASPAC / the globe
  - Support and drive coordinated brand development activities to an agreed annual calendar
  - Ad hoc reporting and support for the ASPAC Advisory COO

The Person

The successful candidate must be able to operate in a matrix organisation and have the ability to work collaboratively and influence the actions of the partners and staff across the ASPAC region. He/She needs to have critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to think outside the box and explore different ways of working to accelerate the trust and growth agenda. Strong and proven project management and learning management skills must be combined with resilience, cultural awareness and diplomacy to achieve stakeholder engagement.

Skills and Experience

- A project manager with over 8 years of experience working in strategy, digital transformation or organisational change within a professional service or corporate environment
- Previous experience of working in a Project Management team, implementing strategic initiatives or organizational change/transformation projects
- Excellent communication, presentation and project reporting skills. Able to develop metrics, analyse data, report KPIs and follow up with people on a timely basis for status updates
- Motivated, pro-active and hard-working team player who is results driven, action oriented and outcomes focused
- Attention to detail, a fast learner and well organised. Able to show initiative and be able to pick up and run with new projects quickly, take on responsibility outside the scope of your current skills and make things happen
- Ability to work under pressure, manage numerous projects simultaneously across multiple time zones and deliver within set timeframes
- Strong and proven relationship building skills, able to hold their own with senior leaders
- Cultural awareness and understanding is essential. Previous experience of working across functions and geographies will help you succeed
- Able and available to travel internationally in the range of 20-50%

- Must work closely with other members of the ASPAC Solutions and broader regional teams, key members of the Global Delivery Network, key Alliance leads and the global Solutions team + national L&D leaders
- In alignment with the OPEN principles, must provide regular and timely feedback to others
