Reporting to the Managing Director of the Joint Venture entity, Liquid State, which is set up by Sony Music Entertainment and Tencent Music Entertainment with a driving focus to develop electronic music in the Asia Pacific region, the position will oversee the full range of finance and accounting functions. 

Major Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain the necessary work procedures and internal control policies;
• Ensure the timely submission and preparation of monthly, yearly and ad-hoc reports for the management’s review;
• Work closely with MD and senior management to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans;
• Work with the management team in the preparation of the budget and forecast, monitor the budget and forecast achievement and provide the necessary variance analysis;
• Liaise and work closely withjoint venture partners on regular basis, seek the advices and approval whenever necessary;
• Prepare the financial data / reports required for submission to statutory bodies;
• Ensure the compliance with the relative local statutory/tax requirements;
• Liaise with the external auditors and tax agents regarding the year-end audit and tax filings;
• Cash flow management;
• Payment process management and costs control;
• Accounts receivable management;
• Prepare the monthly account breakdown and reconciliation;
• Provide the financial analysis and advices for the deal proposals;
• Perform project cost budgeting, control and necessary analysis
• Provide HR administration support

Requirements

• Fluent in both Mandarin and English;
• Over 5 years experience in commercial accounting at a senior level;
• Degree in accounting, business, finance or a related discipline;
• Completion of the CPA (or equivalent) qualification
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft software packages
• Experience with multinational organization is preferred;
• Experience with Navision / SAP and other accounting software viewed favourably;
• Experience with dealing with local government and tax bureau
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills; and
• Ability to work autonomously, hands-on and as part of a team.
