Job Description: 

The Decision Support Analyst role will report directly to the Brand Controller. This position will provide financial analysis and insight to Finance Business Partners to take decisions and actions that drive the best possible financial outcomes in terms of growth in revenue and margin. This position will also provide the Brand Controller with financial analysis and insight to drive Net Working Capital improvement. The role requires excellent analytical skills and ability to build confidence with Finance Business Partner and Brand Controller in order to assist them in influencing senior decision-makers.  

Key responsibilities:  

• Support the Finance Business Partner and Brand Controller to execute effectively their responsibilities including responsibilities listed below: 
• Support the Finance Business Partner and management teams / the business to drive and improve performance, through running and delivering routine and ad hoc analysis and reports, highlighting significant variances and areas for further attention and analysis for example revenue, net sales, order-book, pipeline and utilization  
• Support the Finance Business Partner in gathering business input and create first drafts of budgets and forecasts, including supporting any reporting system submissions thereof
• Preparation and analysis of monthly financial performance reports enabling analysis of revenue, net sales, profitability and orderbook positions by team, panel, client and service.
• Operating cost reporting and analysis to support cost management and resourcing decisions 
• Support the Finance Business Partner and the Brand Controller with any relevant ad hoc queries from WPP/Kantar  
• Run preliminary rate card calculations and any restatements required  
• Support the Brand Controller with routine and ad-hoc reporting over the month-end results
• Support the Brand Controller with posting of judgmental period-end accruals and adjustments and ensure compliance with policy and accepted accounting standards including liaison with the Finance Business Partners or other business stakeholders on these where applicable Constantly look for reporting improvements and additional analysis to provide insight across the business  
• Run analysis to assist and provide support to Finance Business Partner in the
  • evaluation of the service offering portfolio and mix e.g. service / product profitability
  • setting strategies and business unit targets with the business e.g. competitor analysis
  • review of progress and achievement of any applicable bonus and commission schemes sales management and pricing
  • assessment of job performance e.g. job / customer profitability trend and variance analysis with preliminary explanations direct cost and product cost analysis

• Degree level education, CPA or CFA preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint  

 Desirable  

• Operated in complex matrix environment with the same size and scale  
• Experience from working in a similar industry or a project-based organization
• Experience with Maconomy / Cartesis / SAP Business Object reporting platform
