We are an electronic market maker which is specialized in matching buy and sell orders on equities in over 10 Asian countries, relying on our proprietary quantitative models and trading systems.We aim to make the financial markets more efficient with our growing presence in the Asian markets, leading to improved liquidity and reduced execution costs for investors.

Job Description

With the investments we’ve made and growth in the firm, now is the time to be at XY Capital and we are looking for a junior trader to join the trading team. We seek a candidate with the passion and drive to learn and participate in trading across markets and products.  We employ various strategies utilizing our proprietary quant. models and aim to broaden our portfolio with new products and markets.  This role will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the XY Capital staff as we continue to grow and scale.

Responsibilities:

• Support Asia equity trading strategy, US and Europe coverage as needed
• Actively trade across various products and markets
• Assist in development of trading models
• Work with trading team to implement and test trading strategies
• Monitor and report on trading performance
• Partner with current junior trader as a mentor
• Assist in implementing and testing updated algorithms
• Ad hoc projects

Requirements: 

• Degree in Finance, Math, Economics, or Computer Science preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in proprietary or hedge fund firm
• Proven track record of performance in equity trading
• Proficient in Excel and VBA, programming knowledge is a plus
• Self-starter that can lead and work independently
• Must be able to balance many tasks, be a strong decision maker, and maintain high ethical integrity
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
• Strong command of spoken and written English
