Job Description
SCAD Hong Kong seeks candidates for a part-time faculty position in interior design.
At SCAD, interior design students learn to apply historical, cultural, theoretical and aesthetic concepts in combination with technical and practical expertise in designing spaces and user experiences that add value to the built environment. The interior design B.F.A., M.A. and M.F.A. programs challenge creative students to become innovative designers capable of critical thinking and effective communication within the context of global design practice.
This position requires strong examples of work demonstrating professional and teaching experience with space planning and furniture placement; the selection of furniture, fixtures and equipment; sustainable design; and the preparation of construction documents. The ideal candidate has experience or a strong knowledge of related industries and the ability to be credentialed through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools guidelines or justified to teach.

Requirements:
— Terminal degree or its equivalent in interior design or a related field
— University-level teaching experience preferred
— Working knowledge of SketchUp, Autodesk 3ds Max and other Adobe programs is preferred
