Job Description

Job Descriptions:

  • Act as our in-house reporter to explore, plan and produce interesting and quality news stories to be disseminated through the Society’s various communication platforms
  • Oversee the production of the Society’s regular publications and annual report
  • Provide support in the translation of materials from Chinese to English and vice versa
  • Assist the Deputy Director (Strategy and Communications) in promoting the Society’s policies, activities and public image

Requirements:

  • University graduate in disciplines including language, communications, translation or journalism, with at least 4 years' relevant experience. 
  • Outstanding English and Chinese writing and editing skills
  • Ability to produce written material to a high standard on tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation & communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills,  including a demonstrated ability to prioritise and execute a large number of tasks in an efficient manner
  • Proficient in computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office and Photoshop). Multimedia skills will be an advantage
  • A team player.  The role will require liaising with many different internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail orientated, hands-on and with good project management skills
  • Enthusiastic and proactive
  • Willing to work on Sundays and public holidays when required
  • Genuine interest and passion in the welfare of all animals
