Job Description

Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific is looking for an online editor to manage its digital properties and contribute to its regional marketing objectives.

 

This role would suit an experienced online journalist/editor, preferably with a background in marketing and/or public relations. The editor will have an instinct for original and engaging content and be capable expressing this across a variety of multi-media formats. In addition, the editor will have hands-on experience of using digital and social media in a business environment and will be skilled in measuring, reporting and responding to online analytics.

 

The candidate must be a first class communicator, with the ability to nurture productive relationships with our offices across the region. Native English language skills are essential.

 

Role and responsibilities

  • Conceptualise, commission, edit and publish multi-media content
  • Align a rich content calendar with wider regional marketing objectives
  • Curate external content from relevant third party sources, such as blogs and websites
  • Syndicate content across a number of social media platforms
  • Compile regular analytics reports
  • Collate and send out a regular newsletter
  • Build and nurture external relationships with key industry opinion leaders and internal stakeholders
  • Be an integral part of the Asia Pacific awards team, ensuring consistent, quality entries across the region.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support other relevant content-driven projects throughout the year

 

Key attributes

  • Native English
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Minimum five years writing/editing experience in a digital environment, complemented by a strong portfolio of published work
  • Multi-media production skills
  • Demonstrable analytic abilities
  • Experience and/or qualifications in a marketing or communications related field is advantageous; an avid interest in the sector is essential
  • Experience using social media as a content syndication tool
  • Experience engaging and managing key opinion leaders (KOLs) a definite advantage
  • Fluent in Photoshop, Excel and other design and video editing software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working across diverse cultural teams is advantageous
