Job Description

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager (Administration and Resources Management), the appointee will be required to:

  • Perform all-rounded Human Resources (HR) functions covering staff recruitment and orientation, compensation and benefits, performance management and staff relations;
  • Assist in the review and implementation of the Staff Handbook, HR guidelines and operation manuals to ensure that HR policies and procedures are in compliance with the relevant ordinances;
  • Plan and co-ordinate staff training and development programmes;
  • Assist in budget and manpower planning, and preparation of analytical reports;
  • Liaise with the insurance brokers/ insurance companies for the acquisition and renewal of HR-related insurances;
  • Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive HR management system to meet the PMSA’s needs;
  • Liaise with internal departments and external parties on HR-related issues, as well as give advice and answer enquiries on HR matters; and
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

 

Requirements

  • A recognised university degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years solid human resources management experience in sizable organisations, with experience in public sectors being an advantage;
  • A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • Independent and able to work under pressure; and
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.

 

Terms of Appointment

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  An initial 3-year contract will be offered to the successful candidate of the post. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
