Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

  • To assist Senior Manager in leading the Course Development Section (CDS) to formulate and implement an overall plan of training programmes to meet the training needs of targeted groups to enhance their employability and competitiveness;
  • to ensure courses developed are meeting the requirements of the Board’s Quality Assurance Mechanism;
  • to liaise with training providers as well as trade advisors in ensuring the delivery of quality training courses;
  • to assist in expanding network and strengthening partnership with various stakeholders including trade associations, employers, labour unions, professional bodies, Government bureaux and departments, training bodies and public organizations;
  • to coordinate CDS’s submission of course documents and relevant materials for accreditation by accrediting authority via the Quality Assurance Division of ERB; and
  • to draft papers and reports on issues related to course development for consideration and approval of the Course and Service Development Committee and to serve, if needed, as the Secretary to the Course and Service Development Committee.

 

Entry Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree with a minimum of 8 years' post-degree working experience, of which at least 2 years at managerial level;
  • experience of working in the sector of vocational education and training, or continuing education, and good knowledge of qualifications framework would definitely be an advantage;
  • possess strategic skills and broad outlook, proactive, dynamic, innovative and result-oriented; and
  • excellent interpersonal, organising and leadership skills, and outstanding presentation and communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
