Responsibilities:

1) Perform core financial control functions and maintain proper accounting records. Examples include: 

a. Ledger maintenance and reconciliation control

b. Revenue recognition for IPO, placement and bond issuance

c. Apply the relevant accounting standards to ensure accounting compliance

d. Prepare/ review regulatory returns for the Securities and Future Commission

e. Prepare/ review Head Office reports and other ad hoc reports/ information as per request

2) Set up/ update policies and procedures related to day-to-day responsible tasks

3) Participate in system development and automation projects

4) Participate in ad hoc projects or any other duties for the Division

5) Coordinate and facilitate the internal and external audit as required

Requirements:

1) University graduate, preferably in accounting/ finance related disciplines. At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services sector and with Big 4 audit background (candidate with less experience may also be considered provided the relevant skill set is well equipped).

2) Good communication skills with excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin.

3) Independent, with strong motivation to learn, drive the desired result and embrace change.

4) Attentive to details with good quality and accuracy.

5) Excellent computer/ automation skills and good Chinese word processing ability is preferred.

6) Qualified accountant with CPA accounting qualifications or equivalent is preferred.
