Executive Officer (University Librarian’s Office) (Ref. 19062815-E)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) assist in compiling a wide variety of plans, reports, web pages, communication materials and correspondence;

(b) co-ordinate liaison functions, event planning, or other activities to promote Library services and programmes;

(c) provide administrative support to the University Librarian; and

(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the University Librarian or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have

(a) a recognised degree with at least five years of administrative or supervisory experience;

(b) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(c) good analytical, organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
