Job Responsibilities:

• Report to the Chief Risk Officer
• Perform credit judgment on mortgage, personal and corporate loan applications
• Prepare credit proposal and approve according to Credit Policies and Guidelines and Approval Authorities
• Review credit proposal before recommending to Senior Management for approval
• Provide advice for business units on deal structuring and account strategies for the sake of effective risk mitigation
• Contribute proactively to the formulation and review of credit policies, credit processes, lending guidelines, credit manuals according to the changing market environment and address current and anticipated business needs
• Manage the Loan Administration team to ensure timely and quality completion and perfection of loan related documentation
• Regular discuss with sales team and collection team to understand the company’s sales performance and collection status and see if there is any need to fine-tune the Company’s credit policies, guidelines and judgment procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant business units to ensure the proper and timely reporting of operational risk issues and their corresponding management actions
• Monitor and analyze the performance of the Company’s Score Cards and seek for improvement
• Monitor the Company’s loan portfolio and proactively identify high or deteriorating risk and initiate and / or participate in loss minimization and / or management strategy
• Regularly review the operational workflow of loan administration, collateral management and debts collection
• Conduct training on credit judgment to related parties as and when necessary

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder in Banking and Finance, Law or related disciplines
• Sound knowledge on loan operations and regulatory requirements
• Minimum 7 years of experience in credit judgment of mortgage, personal loan and/or margin lending, with exposure in underwriting, credit control and loan administration
• Experience in banking or Loan Finance industry is essential
• Experience of relationship management in SME business an advantage
• Familiar with loan documents and collections process in Hong Kong
• Self-motivated with good interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills
• Good verbal and written command in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
