Our Transaction and Valuation Advisory Services team comprises professionals from various disciplines and is experienced in advising on domestic and cross-border transactions.  We take on the role of an in-house corporate finance team for companies to support their needs in acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and strategic alliances.  We offer the flexibility of customizing our services to suit their needs for different stages of transactions.   

Responsibilities: 

• Perform review of financial instruments valuation and expected credit loss (ECL) calculations prepared by other valuers as an internal support to the firm’s audit teams.
• Perform valuations of share options, convertible bonds, forward contracts, swaps and may be other hybrid/exotic financial products for transaction, financial and tax reporting purposes.
• Perform expected credit loss (ECL) calculations related to trade receivables, loan receivables, etc. for transaction, financial and tax reporting purposes.
• Review and perform other types of valuations such as business, intangible assets, etc.
• Write valuation reports and memos.
• Conduct market, industry and financial research.
• Participate in some other financial, accounting or investment related projects.

Requirements: 

• Degree holder in Accounting, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, IT or related field.
• Possess professional qualification(s) such as CFA, FRM or CPA a plus. Work-in-progress towards the qualification will also be considered.
• Senior Consultants are expected to possess a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in audit firm, valuation firm, bank or other financial institution. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Consultant.
• Relevant qualification(s) demonstrating your knowledge, skills and experience to prepare financial models like binomial/trinomial trees, Monte-Carlo Simulation, etc. will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g. HKFRS 9) a plus.
• Strong command of Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
• Detail-minded with good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
