Job Description

We are a dynamic, expanding, forward-looking global law firm providing a broad range of quality legal services to local and international clients. Our firm is focusing primarily on corporate/commercial work, corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, banking and dispute resolution and arbitration.

We are searching for a Human Resources Coordinator/Officer who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Team, while presenting King & Wood Mallesons in a highly professional manner to employees, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.

About the role

  • Take ownership and provide support for HR administrative activities, including staff on-boarding, off-boarding, reference checks, visas applications, staff benefits, compliance with the Law Society of Hong Kong and other ad-hoc requests as required
  • Co-ordinate with different stakeholders, both internal and external, in relation to human resources administration
  • Manage all system data for staff movements as required on firm’s Human Resources Information System
  • Develop strong relationship with the Law Society of Hong Kong and Immigration department in order to process any compliance and regulation matters
  • Contribute to the daily operations of the Human Resources Team as necessary
  • Participate in projects as required and assist in new human resources initiatives as designated by the team

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required; specialization in Human Resources is preferred
  • Strong attention to details, follow-through and result orientated
  • Pro-active attitude and ability to "get things done", able to work independently or as part of a team;  Willing to "roll up sleeves" and assist the team as and where needed
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English, preferably with Chinese language ability (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – in person, on phone and written
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to communicate at all levels, both verbally and written
  • Able to work confidently with others across the length of seniority
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and deliver against deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Internet Explorer
  • Fresh graduates will also be considered. Candidates with more experience will be considered for Human Resources Officer role
  • Experience in payroll, working with the Hong Kong Law Society and/or Hong Kong Immigration will be considered an advantage
