Head of Treasury Operations,/ Banking Operation Head  Corporate Banking 

The role is responsible for managing and supervising daily operations in Trade/Banking & Treasury Operations, including re-engineering processes and reviewing operation efficiency. This role is also responsible for meeting Head Office compliance/regulatory requirements (e.g. Sanctions and AML trainings).

Responsibilities:

• Formulate the goal and objective of the department
• Manage and supervise daily operations in Trade/Banking & Treasury Operations.
• Approve and release treasury related settlement instructions via Swift Alliance or RTGS CMU systems
• Release any non-treasury related settlement instructions
• Lead and plan ahead Trade/Banking & Treasury Operations activities
• Processes re-engineering and operational review on Trade/Banking and Treasury operations
• Review and update operations’ booking, procedures and control
• Ensure all mandatory training (e.g. Sanctions and AML) are completed by staff in accordance with Head Office/regulatory requirements
• Plan the career development for staff in order to meet the department goal
• Back up Trade/Banking & Treasury Operations Managers while they are on leave.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in Operations with exposure to Trade/Banking & Treasury Operations in corporate banking/wealth management.
• At least 3+ years of management experience and supervision experience
• Strong strategic planning, analytical and process improvement capabilities with accomplishment of efficiency gains/cost savings
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization including senior management
• Excellent decision-making, problem solving and organization skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to build effective relationships internally with multiple business units
• Employee Development - offers feedback, coaches’ employees, reward employees
• Sens of Urgency-meets deadlines, establishes appropriate priority, and gets the job done
• Business Planning and Budget with ability to report variance adjust as needed
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Fluent in English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
