ACADEMY OF VISUAL ARTS

Part-time Lecturers (various positions)     

a) Art History and Theory (PR0005/19-20)

The appointee is expected to teach art theory, art history and art criticism courses in the following areas:

1. History and Theory Ceramics

2. History and Theory of Glass Arts

3. Visual Analysis and Research Practice

Applicants should have a Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, a solid professional experience and knowledge in the above areas.

b) Photography (PR0006/19-20)

The appointee is expected to teach photography courses for visual arts students and general education courses for non-major students.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. Sophisticated skills, teaching experience in the photography field, and a good record of professional practice are added advantages.

c) Glass Arts (PR0007/19-20)

The appointee is expected to teach glass arts course for visual arts students.

Applicants should have a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, teaching experience, a good record of professional practice, knowledge of the contemporary visual arts and familiarity with the broader issues and trends in the field.

d) General Education (PR0008/19-20)

The appointee is expected to teach general education course for non-major students in the following areas:

1. Transcultural Art History

2. Creative Entrepreneurship

Applicants should have a Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, a solid professional experience and knowledge in the above areas. Applicant with teaching experience in general education course in tertiary and/or post-secondary education is particularly welcomed.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
