Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Solutions Design

  • Develop a framework to support Business Unit and Supply Chain Management in new business development and contract negotiations, and in renewals of existing contracts.
  • Provide solutions proposals for how to operate client business with attention to contractual obligations, cost efficiencies, and service levels management. Participate in select client meetings and train client managers how to understand and present supply chain solutions to clients.


Industrial Engineering

  • Lead construction and upgrading of Distribution Centers including network design studies, business case preparation, costing and project management.
  • Lead the development and implementation of industrial engineering tools, methodologies and standards for continuous improvement.


Project Management

  • Lead major supply chain related projects which requires investments in infrastructure for improved efficiencies or service levels. Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to determine project scope and ownership.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, cost, and quality through relevant deployment of internal resources and third party vendors.



  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve the workflow in the Distribution Centers.
  • Lead the optimization of warehouse processes and material flows including warehouse layout, sizing, materials storage and handling systems. Apply LEAN principles to processes and train leaders in the philosophy and deployment of these.


Network & Capacity planning

  • Collaborate with Business Unit and Supply Chain Management to maintain an updated long term forecast for required network and capacity
  • Develop a network and capacity plan for how to meet forecasted requirements and when to initiate projects


Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a similar role of which 10 years at managerial level
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain development methodologies and systems
  • Advanced understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals and logistics solution design
  • Ability to manage several large and complex projects concurrently
  • Experience in the consumer goods, healthcare, performance materials, or technology supply chain
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in international/cross-cultural interactions
  • Proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
