Job Description
Responsibilities
- Perform Database administration and technical support
- Responsible for database design, planning, implementation, database server installation and configuration
- Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughout
- Maintain database documentation as required
- Maintain and administer database security access
- Follow Change Management processes to implement database configuration changes
- Proactively monitor and respond to Database Alerts
- 2nd tier requirements to ensure 24 X 7 support of database operations
Requirements
- Degree holder, preferably in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
- 1 - 2 years of experience as database administrator preferably gained in sizable company
- Familiar with main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design communication
- Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedure
- Understanding of database design/architecture
- Experience in the mixed environment of Oracle and SQL is a plus
- Good teamwork with good negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Applicant with more experience will be considered as Manager - DBA
